Our mission is to foster a caring, supportive and vibrant campus community that transforms students’ lives. We create co-curricular opportunities for students to engage, learn and connect by providing platforms, programs, spaces and support systems that connect them to one another, the wider campus community and the world beyond. We cultivate a community ethos where each student is and feels valued in all of their identities and experiences that make them unique members of our community. We advocate for our students and craft structures for them to strengthen their leadership skills, find their passions and become agents of change.
The fund will support our various initiatives to create and promote engaging and vibrant cultural and community-building programs, outstanding services and continued investment in our spaces to promote quality of student life, particularly for weekend and evening activities.
Here are some examples of how we strive to do this with your support and gift:
- Create vibrant outdoor community spaces as part of Seawolf Square with fireplaces, pergolas, audio and visual equipment, lounge chairs and ambient lighting to promote outdoor activities and programming.
- Create a new craft room within the Campus Life Centers.
- Purchase innovative technology to enhance and support academic and co-curricular engagement and collaboration.
- Purchase recreational gaming equipment to further enhance our student Club Hub Gameroom.
- Outfit all of the Campus Life Centers meeting rooms and event spaces with built-in modern technology to support hybrid and streaming events.
- Beautify outdoor spaces with more flowers and trees to create cozy nooks and intimate spaces around our centers.
- Establish an annual Student Diversity Leadership Conference.
- Create more on-campus evening and weekend programs and activities.
- Create student leadership development programs and workshops.
